My Role
Conduct UI analysis on the landing page to identify potential usability issues.
Conduct competitive analysis to understand the market landscape.
Gather insights on software and website usability through surveys and joint interview & testing sessions.
Facilitate client meetings, provide team leadership, and lead the project to successful completion as the temporary Project Manager.

Screen Studio is a startup that offers remarkable software that empowers users to effortlessly create professional-grade screen recordings within minutes, even without prior video editing experience. Exclusively designed for macOS.
What We Found
The performance of the software was good overall, but some issues arose during usability testing. The landing page excelled in usability testing and also received positive feedback from the surveys and interviews.
User Pain Points (The Software)
No possibility of recording audio.
UX writing issues (language is too technical).
Exporting problems (exporting is too slow or too stressful on their devices).
Keyboard shortcut issues.
No possibility to add external audio (e.g. music).
The lack of a proper dashboard when opening the software.
Implemented Changes
Most of the pain points were resolved. A āstartupā dashboard and the possibility to add external audio, such as music, are still under consideration by the client.

Improved Software Usability by Leading Sprint Workshops

My Role
Lead the UX process by facilitating 4 sprint workshops with a cross-functional team.
Conduct UI analysis and usability testing.
Create user flows, wireframes and prototypes to communicate ideas and design improvements derived from the research insights.
About LeaPP
Startups Hiava and Ainak collaboratively developed LeaPP, a 3D modelling software tailored for the logistics industry. The software had been launched as an MVP but was in the pre-funding stage.

What We Found: Onboarding Problem
During the UI analysis and usability testing, it became clear that initiating the first project (creating the 3D model) was problematic due to confusion over which button to click. Why?
Nothing happens when clicking the "New project" button.
The next logical place is the right-side panel, which is also incorrect.
After that, the user is lost.

My recommendation was to include a small āStart Hereā label that would appear on the screen and guide the users to take the right action.
